California Educator Teaches Students Anti-Israel Material

It’s a dark day for education when a California public school district not only engages in dubious educational practices but actively seeks to keep parents in the dark. The Berkeley Unified School District, now facing a lawsuit for its troubling decision to teach pro-Hamas material, has crossed a line that should alarm every American who values truth and transparency in education.

The Deborah Project’s lawsuit is a beacon of hope against the indoctrination that’s infiltrating our schools under the guise of education. It’s shocking to see an American school painting a grossly inaccurate and hateful picture of the Jewish State. This isn’t education; it’s propaganda, and it’s being spoon-fed to our children.

Teacher Alex Day’s approach to teaching social studies is a case study of bias and manipulation. Claiming to educate on Palestine and “colonialism,” Day has taken it upon himself to rewrite history, omitting crucial facts and context to vilify Israel and, by extension, Jews. His actions as an educator are dangerous, fueling Antisemitism under the guise of academic discourse.

Day’s lessons, from what we can gather, focus overwhelmingly on portraying Gazans as the sole victims of a conflict far more complex and nuanced than his slides suggest. This isn’t just a failure to provide a balanced perspective; it’s an active effort to instill a one-sided, biased view in students. And the attempt to hide this curriculum from parents like Yossi Fendel shows a disturbing lack of accountability and transparency.

California’s educational standards mandate the identification of “bias and prejudice” in historical interpretations. Yet, Day’s presentations seem to blatantly ignore the violent Antisemitism of Hamas and its allies. The omission of any discussion on Hamas’s call for the death of Jews worldwide is not just an oversight; it’s a glaring, intentional act that sanitizes terrorism.

The fact that the Berkeley Unified School District might have tried to conceal this curriculum from parents is a scandal in itself. But it’s part of a broader, alarming trend across the country, where schools shield racially discriminatory and sexually explicit content from parental oversight. It’s time for a reckoning.

The actions of the Berkeley Unified School District and Alex Day are a wake-up call for parents and concerned citizens everywhere. We must demand transparency, accountability, and education that informs rather than indoctrinates. Our children deserve better than to be pawns in a political game that seeks to rewrite history and stoke the flames of division and hate.
