Wisconsin Bird Group Teaches ‘LGBTQ in Nature’ Class to Children
Well, it seems every day brings a new level of absurdity in our nation’s relentless push towards “diversity, equity, and inclusion”—and now, it appears the animal kingdom can’t escape the far reach of modern identity politics either. The Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance, which once focused on the simple joys of birdwatching, is now pushing an agenda that has our feathered friends and even our local flora enlisted in the culture wars.
This organization has ventured into educating young children on the alleged LGBTQIAP+ characteristics of plants and animals. Yes, you heard that right—according to them, even the birds and the bees (and the ferns for that matter) are part of the LGBTQIAP+ community. It seems no aspect of life can escape the clutches of ideological indoctrination, not even our natural surroundings.
Under the guise of inclusivity and education, they’ve designed lessons to teach children as young as nine about gender fluidity and sexuality in nature. They claim to offer a ‘beautifully wide range’ of natural examples of LGBTQIAP+ identities, equipping even the youngest of minds with ideas that many parents find too complex or inappropriate for such an age. This initiative goes beyond the pale, transforming a straightforward nature class into a platform for pushing progressive narratives.
The Pervasive Woke Indoctrination Continues
And let’s be clear—this isn’t just about teaching kids to respect differences or understand nature. It’s about molding the next generation to view everything through a lens of sexual identity politics, where even animals are not spared from being symbols of human social debates. This is happening in Madison, Wisconsin, a city notorious for its liberal activism, where taxpayer dollars are now being funneled to support this indoctrination.
One can only shake their head at the irony of it all. The very community that champions environmental conservation is now exploiting nature to propagate a highly debatable and politically charged agenda. What happened to the days when environmental education was about conservation and scientific inquiry, not social engineering?
Moreover, this kind of curriculum undermines parental rights, stripping them of the ability to introduce sensitive subjects in their timing and context. It’s an overreach that many parents across the political spectrum find alarming and invasive. As this trend spreads across educational institutions, one must wonder about the long-term effects on our children’s understanding of science and nature. Instead of teaching them to appreciate and study the natural world, the woke are indoctrinating them with ideas that align with a specific political ideology.
