Google’s New AI Search Feature Is a Woke Nightmare

Remember Google Gemini creating women popes and Black Vikings? Google’s AI is back at it again with the woke foolishness. Google’s AI Overview feature has unleashed a circus of absurdities, erroneously advising that slathering glue on pizzas enhances their flavor and proclaiming, without a shred of medical basis, that smoking during pregnancy is beneficial. Yes, you heard it right. It’s as if the AI decided to take a dive into the deep end of the misinformation pool without any lifeguards on duty.

The debacle showcases Google scrambling to patch up this AI mishap, manually pulling the plug on the feature for specific searches after it spouted what can only be described as dangerously ludicrous suggestions. One wonders how an algorithm could conclude that cockroaches fancy residing in human anatomy or that consuming rocks is a dietary option. Who programmed this thing, the court jesters of Silicon Valley?

It doesn’t stop there. The AI seems to have a hard time grappling with basic ethical judgments. It categorically refused to label communism as “evil” and hesitated to condemn pedophilia straightforwardly—opting for a neutral stance on matters that demand moral clarity.

What we’re witnessing with Google’s AI debacle is more than just technological hiccups; it’s a glaring example of how far the tech giant has strayed from its foundational principle: “Don’t be evil.” Instead of reliable searches, we’re handed a cocktail of far-left ideology blended with nonsensical health advice.

The implications are grave. As AI becomes more embedded in our digital experiences, the quality and reliability of the information it provides become paramount. Google’s blunder isn’t just a technical glitch—it’s a stark reminder of the dangers of embedding unchecked, woke ideologies into systems that millions rely on for daily information.

It’s high time Google went back to the drawing board, not just to fix a broken AI but to realign its moral compass and ensure its technologies serve the users impartially and safely, not the fringe agendas of a few programmers. The tech giant has a responsibility, not just to its users but to the broader public discourse, to get this right.
