Seattle Hospital Mandated Segregated Critical Race Theory Training

This is another disturbing example of Critical Race Theory being pushed onto doctors, prioritizing radical race ideology over patients and legitimate training.

It has now been publicly revealed that at Seattle Children’s Hospital, stomach doctors found themselves mandated to participate in a racially segregated diversity training in August 2022, showcasing the ever-deepening descent into identity politics that now pervades even our medical institutions. This training was a divisive exercise in Critical Race Theory, alleging that Black individuals are “systematically targeted for demise” and pushing White doctors to “tap into their repressed racial memories” to develop a so-called White “race-consciousness.”

Participants were segregated into three “racial caucuses”—White, Black, and “Non-Black POC”—purportedly to “minimize harm to our Black learners and facilitator.” This separation was based on the works of diversity consultants like Robin DiAngelo, author of White Fragility. The Black caucus addressed internalizing anti-Black messages, while the “Non-Black POC” caucus examined actions considered “anti-Black.” White doctors, on the other hand, were instructed to “divest from whiteness” and explore their supposed “racial stories.”

The training began with a land acknowledgment and involved exercises that smacked of political indoctrination rather than fostering any genuine understanding or unity. At one point, the trainers even suggested that doctors “need to implement” systems to “prioritize” Black patients, which seems like a blatant medical ethics violations.

Doctors Need Legitimate Physician Training, Not Radical Critical Race Theory Mandates

Seattle Children’s Hospital’s venture into racial caucusing is a disturbing trend that’s becoming all too common in healthcare settings across the nation. Institutions like the University of California, San Francisco, and UCLA have also introduced these divisive practices, often under the guise of “collective healing,” when if fact, these racially divided activities accomplish the complete opposite.

It’s particularly disconcerting that such a top-ranked pediatric hospital would so fully embrace an ideology that categorizes and separates individuals based on race, rather than uniting them under the common goals of health and healing. These sessions don’t just strain the fabric of our healthcare systems; they threaten the foundational principles of medical ethics, undermine the trust between patients and physicians, and perpetuate a radical oppressor versus oppressed ideology.

Instead of fostering an environment of inclusivity and respect, Seattle Children’s has opted to pedal ideologies that segregate and categorize, ignoring the genuine medical needs of all patients irrespective of their race. This is a symptom of a broader and very dangerous shift in the medical community and must be addressed before the next generation of doctors prioritize political correctness over patient care.
