US Green Card Holder Commits Tel Aviv Terror Attack

It's high time for the United States and Israel to enforce robust and unwavering reforms in national security protocols.

Tel Aviv has been rocked by a terror attack that left four people wounded, an attack perpetrated by Abdelaziz Kaddi, a Moroccan national with a U.S. green card. Despite being flagged as a potential threat upon his arrival in Israel, Kaddi was nonetheless allowed entry—a decision that has justly ignited a firestorm of criticism and raised serious questions about the integrity of Israel’s national security protocols.

Kaddi walked into the heart of Tel Aviv unchecked, turning Nahalat Binyamin, a vibrant area brimming with life, into a scene of horror. He went on a stabbing spree, critically injuring two young men and wounding two others. It’s absolutely indefensible that this man was granted a U.S. green card and a tourist visa. This oversight casts a damning light not only on Israel but also on the United States

The terror attack in Tel Aviv perpetrated by Kaddi is tragic. It’s appalling and speaks to a bigger issue: the dire need for stringent reforms in how visas and resident permits are issued and scrutinized, especially when it comes to individuals from regions rife with terrorism. This man had a U.S. green card—supposedly a marker of scrutiny and security clearance—and yet, he posed a direct threat to the lives of Israeli citizens. This incident must force a reckoning about who gets these passes and why.

Looking at Israel, this attack follows another stabbing just days prior, underscoring a rising tide of violence that is putting the safety of Israelis at risk and challenging the fabric of its public security. Israel’s security protocol must be airtight. Every misstep is potentially fatal, and this incident proves just that.

As we grapple with the fallout of this horrific attack and focus on healing and justice for the victims, let this also serve as a stark wake-up call. It’s high time for the United States and Israel to enforce robust and unwavering reforms in national security protocols.
