NYC Protestors Call for ‘Intifada Revolution” On New Year’s Day

Leave it to the anti-Israel, pro-Hamas radicals to hijack a holiday of hope to further an agenda filled with hate and division.

In the shadow of Times Square’s New Year celebrations, a mob of several hundred activists commandeered the area not to herald a fresh start, but to spew anti-Israel vitriol, effectively transforming a symbol of global festivity into a stage for hate. Orchestrated by groups like the Palestinian Youth Movement and the Party for Socialism and Liberation, these demonstrators waved banners proclaiming “End Zionism” and “No war on Iran,” chanting “Intifada revolution” and glorifying their so-called martyrs— transforming what should be a day of hope and reflection into another opportunity for them to push their pro-Hamas agenda.

Their relentless chants for Gaza, coupled with the sea of keffiyehs and masked faces, underscored a disturbing commitment against Zionism, all the while many if not all of them would be unable to define Zionism. These protesters, fervently repeating calls that resonate with historical ignorance, seem hell-bent on perpetuating a cycle of conflict and misunderstanding.

Contrasting sharply with this display, a handful of pro-Israel counter-protesters held American and Israeli flags, their shouts for the protesters to get jobs a pointed critique of the endless cycle of fruitless protests. The sight of NYPD counter-terrorism units patrolling Times Square isn’t just a precaution; it’s a dire necessity in the aftermath of the Islamist extremist attack in New Orleans. This grim reality serves as a sobering reminder that in an America where defending terrorists has become all too common, such heinous attacks are becoming a disturbing norm.

This spectacle of radicalism, masked as activism, stands diametrically opposed to the American ideals of liberty, democracy, and peace. It weaponizes the New Year’s symbol of renewal, twisting it into an endorsement of terrorism under the thin veil of civil protest. Leave it to the anti-Israel, pro-Hamas radicals to hijack a holiday of hope to further an agenda filled with hate and division—an agenda that America must firmly reject.
